PRIVACY NOTICE
How we use contact information.
Last updated: 22 September 2026.
1. Who is responsible for the data?
The data controller is Mahamoud Abdi-Jama, founder of Reality Loop Lab, a pre-incorporation project. Contact: founder@realitylooplab.com.
2. What data do we collect?
When you use the contact form, we may collect your name, email address, organisation, the context of your enquiry, your message, and whether you separately opted in to receive project updates and offers.
3. Why do we use it?
- Responding to your request: to answer enquiries, discuss a possible partnership, service or collaboration, and manage the resulting exchange.
- Optional project updates and offers: only when you actively tick the dedicated marketing consent box.
- Managing objections: to ensure that a person who withdraws consent is not re-added to future marketing communications by mistake.
4. Legal bases
Depending on the nature of your enquiry, responding to you is based on steps taken at your request before entering into a possible agreement and/or our legitimate interest in responding to and managing genuine enquiries. Marketing communications to individuals are based on your explicit consent. You can withdraw that consent at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing.
5. How long do we keep it?
- Contact-form enquiries: normally up to 12 months after submission, unless a longer retention period is required for an ongoing relationship or legal obligation.
- Marketing consent/prospect records: up to 3 years from collection or the latest meaningful contact, subject to renewal of your interest where appropriate.
- Opt-out information: a minimal hashed identifier may be retained for at least 3 years solely to respect your objection to future marketing.
6. Who receives the data?
Access is limited to the Reality Loop Lab project founder and technical service providers necessary to operate the website and email routing. Cloudflare currently provides website hosting, storage and email-routing infrastructure. We do not sell contact data.
7. International transfers
Some technical providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where applicable, such transfers are covered by recognised transfer mechanisms and contractual safeguards, including Standard Contractual Clauses.
8. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your personal data, and you may object to certain processing. You have an absolute right to object to direct marketing and may withdraw marketing consent at any time.
To exercise your rights, email founder@realitylooplab.com. You may also lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority (CNIL).
9. Marketing choices
The contact form does not require marketing consent. If you do opt in, you can withdraw at any time using our unsubscribe page or by contacting us.
